I was born in London on the 9th March 1962 but was whisked off to Australia at aged four then on to Hong Kong at aged 12 and didn't return to the UK until I was in my early 20's, so I feel no tie to any country as home. The reason for all the travel was my mother’s employment in the horse racing industry. I have lived and travelled in Belgium, Luxembourg and Spain; been a waitress, a writer, a broadcaster, nightclub manager and much else in between. Since 1987 I have been enjoying my favourite role, as a mother and since 2004 as a grandmother.
